LITIGATION
Our experience and training come to
the fore in our extensive civil litigation practice. We have litigated federal cases in the U.S. District Courts of Eastern and Western Washington and superior court cases in most counties in Washington,
as well as other states. Our approach to litigation is pragmatic and efficient. We work closely with our public-sector and private-sector clients to find cost-effective resolution of their disputes in a host of different issue areas. We proactively
seek solutions ranging from Alternative
Dispute Resolution to vigorous trial-
court advocacy.
NON-PROFITS
Private schools, foundations, community service organizations and homeowner associations serve discrete populations and encounter specialized issues. We have an extensive record of counseling these organizations and helping them navigate through their challenges, both arising from the litigation process and from their everyday operations.
INSURANCE
The firm is well versed in insurance matters. We have advised and represented both policyholders and insurance carriers on a wide variety of claims including environmental property damage, employment discrimination, workers’ compensation, insurer bad faith, personal injury coverage and more. When insurance issues arise, we are able to guide our clients to negotiated resolution or through the litigation process when necessary.

& CONSTRUCTION
We have represented both private-sector parties and government bodies in numerous matters involving zoning, planning, community development, permitting processes, annexations, critical areas and more. We have addressed real estate transactions, development projects and construction issues both through litigated cases and as counselors to a wide range of clients.
PUBLIC ENTITIES
We have over five decades of combined experience in advising government bodies in matters involving employment, board relations, special education, land use, construction, open public meetings, and
a host of other issues. We are familiar with the unique forces that come to bear on public entities, and the constraints created by the legal frameworks in which they operate.
APPEALS
Cases don’t always end at trial. Whether preserving a successful trial-court result or prosecuting our clients’ interests before a higher court, our lawyers are well versed in handling appeals. We work with our own clients and consult with other lawyers on their appellate cases. Our experience includes appeals in Washington, Wisconsin and Arizona state courts and in federal appellate courts.

Tierney, Correa & Zeinemann, P.C. consists of three lawyers with over seventy-five years of combined experience in diverse areas of the law. Michael Tierney established the firm in 1999 to provide high quality and cost-effective litigation and counseling services to a wide range of clients in the Pacific Northwest.
